# Fake SMS (Test Me)

The built-in Fake SMS (Test Me) sandbox — accepts every SMS and delivers none.

The Fake provider is a built-in sandbox: campaigns, triggers, templates and token binding work end to end, the message log shows the sent text, and no SMS ever reaches a phone.

## Get your credentials

There are none. The first time the SMS module is enabled, Norbix adds a Fake integration named **Test Me** and makes it the default. You only add it yourself after you deleted it, or in another environment.

## Connect it in Cloud

**Where:** SMS → Integrations → **Add New Integration** → Fake SMS (Test Me) → **Connect** · `/projects/<project>/sms/integrations/new/fake`

The form has nothing to fill in: both fields are fixed by the platform and greyed out. Press **Create**.

| Field               | Required | What it does                                         | Example        |
| ------------------- | -------- | ---------------------------------------------------- | -------------- |
| Sender Phone Number | fixed | A placeholder number; nothing is delivered from it. | `+15550000000` |
| Integration Name | fixed | The same name for every Fake, so it is easy to spot. | `Test Me` |

## Test and set as default

The Fake is born **TESTED** and **CONFIRMED**, so its page has no test panel and no Save button (the blue note mentions *Test*, but there is nothing to press). From the API or the CLI a test answers `SendSms OK` — see [Test an integration](/codemash/cloud/sms/integrations/test.md#do-it-from-code). **Actions** offers **Set as default**, **Enable** / **Disable** and **Delete**. A Fake left as the default in production quietly texts nobody: set your real provider as the default before a launch.

## Do it from code

The request carries only the provider and a name; the server sets the number and the name itself.

```sh
norbix hub notifications sms integration save --integration '{"provider":"Fake","integrationName":"Test Me","isEnabled":true}'
```

On a project that already has its Fake this answers *Only one Fake SMS integration is allowed per project.* The same request from the SDK is `saveSmsIntegration({ integration: { provider: 'Fake', integrationName: 'Test Me', isEnabled: true } })`. The client setup is on the [SMS page](/codemash/cloud/sms.md#use-it-from-code). API: [Save Sms Integration](/codemash/api-reference/notifications/sms/save-sms-integration.md)
