# Disable or delete an integration

Stop a logging integration for a while, or delete it — and for Norbix Logging, choose whether its stored entries go too.

**Where:** Logs → Integrations → an integration → **Actions** · `/projects/<project>/logging/integrations/<integrationId>/edit`

## Before you start

* A saved [logging integration](/codemash/cloud/logs/integrations.md). Disabling or deleting needs the `logging:update` / `logging:delete` permissions on integrations (for example **Owner** or **Administrator**).
* Deleting **Norbix Logging** stops the [Logs](/codemash/cloud/logs/logs.md) screen from getting new entries until you add a new one.

## Steps

**Disable**

1. Open the integration, here `Datadog EU`, and open **Actions** (the arrow next to **Actions**).

2. Press **Disable**. The badge changes from **ENABLED** to **DISABLED**; there is no dialog.

   <figure><img src="https://712692422-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FHy372bqsaex2cqS3ikhL%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-5fbd2414e4801419811910a7fc51e699366108bb%2Fintegrations-disable-2.png?alt=media" alt="Editing Datadog integration with the badges DISABLED and TEST FAILED"><figcaption><p>The integration is disabled.</p></figcaption></figure>

   In the list, **Enabled** says `False`:

**Delete**

3. Only for **Norbix Logging**: below the test panel, the check box **Also delete all logs stored in the database when this integration is deleted** decides what happens to the stored entries (*Permanently drops the tenant\_log\_entries collection in the backing database when you delete this integration. This cannot be undone.*). Leave it empty to keep them.

4. Open **Actions** and press **Delete**. The dialog **Delete Confirmation** asks *Are you sure you want to delete?* Press **Delete**.

   <figure><img src="https://712692422-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FHy372bqsaex2cqS3ikhL%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-d472ac415c73ee3cfce3295b55ab5abc9765e313%2Fintegrations-disable-4.png?alt=media" alt="The dialog Delete Confirmation: Are you sure you want to delete? with Delete and Cancel"><figcaption><p>The delete dialog.</p></figcaption></figure>

## Result

* **Disable** — the integration gets no new entries. It stays in the list with `False` and keeps its fields; Norbix stops sending to it within about a minute.
* **Delete** — Cloud goes back to the list and the integration is gone. For Norbix Logging the stored entries stay unless you ticked the check box; once it is deleted, the picker offers **Norbix Logging** again.

## Change or remove it later

* **Enable again** — open the disabled integration, **Actions → Enable**. If its last test failed, [test it again](/codemash/cloud/logs/integrations/test.md) — only a tested integration receives entries.
* A deleted integration cannot be brought back; [add a new one](/codemash/cloud/logs/integrations/providers.md) and test it.

## Do it from code

```ts
await norbix.hub.logs.disableLoggingIntegration({ id });
await norbix.hub.logs.enableLoggingIntegration({ id });
// delete it; wipeLogs matters only for Norbix Logging
await norbix.hub.logs.deleteLoggingIntegration({ id, wipeLogs: false });
```

```sh
norbix hub logs logging integration disable --id int_lOXzOv5wiEETDEUmcMnG0 --yes
norbix hub logs logging integration enable --id int_lOXzOv5wiEETDEUmcMnG0
norbix hub logs logging integration delete --id int_lOXzOv5wiEETDEUmcMnG0 --wipeLogs false --yes
```

`id` is the `int_…` id of the integration. The client setup is on the [Logs page](/codemash/cloud/logs.md#use-it-from-code).
