# Delete a trigger

Delete a files trigger.

**Where:** Files → Triggers → click a trigger → **Actions** → **Delete trigger...** · `/projects/<project>/files/triggers/<triggerId>/edit`

## Before you start

* To stop a trigger for a while, [disable](/codemash/cloud/files/triggers/enable.md) it instead — a deleted trigger is gone.

## Steps

1. Open the trigger, for example `Temp trigger`, and press **Actions** → **Delete trigger...**. The dialog **Delete Confirmation** asks *Are you sure you want to delete?*

2. Press **Delete**.

## Result

The trigger is gone from **File Triggers** and no longer runs.

## Change or remove it later

* A deleted trigger cannot be brought back — [create it again](/codemash/cloud/files/triggers/new.md).

## Do it from code

```ts
await norbix.hub.files.deleteFilesTrigger({ triggerId: id, triggerType: 'Files' });
```

```sh
norbix hub files trigger delete --triggerId trg_7DVewXIpdznxI9u9xz3KV5 --triggerType Files --yes
```

The client setup is on the [Files page](/codemash/cloud/files.md#use-it-from-code). API: [Delete Files Trigger](/codemash/api-reference/files/triggers/delete-files-trigger.md)
