# Test an integration

Test a files integration — Norbix uploads, reads, lists and deletes a small probe file.

**Where:** Files → Integrations → *integration* → **Test integration** · `/projects/<project>/files/integrations/<integrationId>/edit`

## Before you start

* The integration is saved — see [Providers](/codemash/cloud/files/integrations/providers.md). Before the first **Save** the panel says *Run test after successful save.*
* The test writes a small file into the storage and deletes it again, so the credentials need write and delete access.

## Steps

1. Open **Files → Integrations** and click the integration, or stay on the form right after **Save**. The badges show the state, for example **DEFAULT** · **ENABLED** · **NOT TESTED**.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the form and press **Test integration**.

## Result

While the test runs the panel says *Running integration test, please wait…*. Then it shows **Test passed** (or **Test failed**) with the time of the run and one line per check — **UploadFile**, **GetFile**, **GetAllFiles**, **DeleteFile**. The badge becomes **TESTED** (or **TEST FAILED**). The test needs no input from you.

When a check fails, the next checks are not run. Cloud still draws them as **Success** today — read only the first failed line; its red text is the real error, for example *Failed to create Google Cloud Storage client: Error deserializing JSON credential data.* The provider pages list the common errors.

## Change or remove it later

* Fix the field the error names, type the secret again, **Save**, and test again.
