Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://codemash.gitbook.io/codemash/cloud/emails/signatures/delete.md). # Delete a signature Delete an email signature. **Where:** Email → Signatures → a signature → **Actions → Delete** · `/projects//emails/signatures//edit` ## Before you start * Permission `email:delete`. * Check that no template still renders this signature by its id (a fixed `@Model.Cmf.RenderSignature("…")` call, or campaigns and triggers that pass its id in `Email.SignatureId`). After the delete those sends fail. ## Steps 1. Open the signature, for example `Holiday greeting`, and open **Actions**.

2. Press **Delete**. The dialog **Delete Confirmation** asks "Are you sure you want to delete?".

3. Press **Delete**. ## Result You are back on **Email → Signatures** and the signature is gone.

## Change or remove it later Delete is permanent.
