# Fake Email (Test Me)

The Fake email integration (Test Me) — a built-in provider that never sends real email.

The Fake integration runs the whole send — templates, tokens, campaigns, triggers, message logs — except the last step: nothing reaches a mailbox. Use it while you build, and in a TEST environment that must never email customers.

## Get your credentials

Nothing to get. Norbix creates **Test Me** the first time the Email module is turned on, and makes it the default. Each project can have at most one Fake integration; you can delete it and add it again from the provider picker.

## Connect it in Cloud

**Where:** Email → Integrations → **Test Me** · `/projects/<project>/emails/integrations/<integrationId>/edit` (to add it again: **Add New Integration** → Fake Email (Test Me) → **Connect**, `…/integrations/new/fake`)

Every field is fixed and read-only:

| Field                | Required | What it does                                                     | Example          |
| -------------------- | -------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- | ---------------- |
| Sender Email Address | —        | A placeholder; nothing is delivered.                             | `fake@norbix.ai` |
| Sender Display Name  | —        | A placeholder name.                                              | `Test Me`        |
| Integration Name | — | Every Fake integration has the same name, so it is easy to spot. | `Test Me` |

## Test and set as default

There is no test panel: Norbix marks the Fake integration **TESTED** and **CONFIRMED** when it is created. Send a campaign through it instead — it ends **Completed**, and the [message log](/codemash/cloud/emails/campaigns/log.md) shows the rendered email with real values. It is the default until you press **Actions → Set as default** on a real provider ([Set as default](/codemash/cloud/emails/integrations/set-default.md)); until then campaigns go to the Fake provider. **Enable**, **Disable** and **Delete** work as for every integration.

## Common errors

| Message                                      | Cause                          | Fix                                                                      |
| -------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------ | ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| "My campaign is Completed but nobody got it" | The campaign used **Test Me**. | Connect a real provider, set it as default, and pick it on the campaign. |
| A second Fake integration is refused | Only one per project. | Use the existing **Test Me**. |

## Do it from code

```ts
const { list } = await norbix.hub.notifications.getEmailIntegrations();
const fake = list.items.find((i) => i.emailProvider === 'Fake');
console.log(fake.viewId, fake.senderEmailAddress, fake.integrationName); // int_6TG84uqtIL4HghyUx0EONk fake@norbix.ai Test Me
```

```sh
norbix hub notifications email integrations get
```
