# Settings

Turn the Code module off for a project, and on again.

**Where:** Code → **Settings** → **Disable module** · `/projects/<project>/code/settings`

## Before you start

* The module is on — see [Enable the module](/codemash/cloud/code.md#enable-the-module).
* You need a project role that can manage modules (for example **Owner** or **Administrator**).

## Steps

1. Open **Code → Settings**. The only panel is **Disable code module**.

2. Press **Disable module**. The dialog **Disable this module?** says *Are you sure? The module and all the data that belongs to it will be deleted. This cannot be undone.*

3. Press **Disable module** in the dialog. Cloud goes back to the **Norbix Code** enable page.

## Result

The Code menu is gone and every Code page shows the enable page. The project's providers and marketplace connections are not called while the module is off.

The dialog says the data is deleted, but disabling never deletes data — that is by design; it is kept and comes back after **ENABLE** (checked on a test project on 2026-10-06: the two provider integrations and the marketplace connection with its function were all back). Data is deleted only through the **Compliance** settings or by [deleting the project](/codemash/cloud/project/settings/termination.md). Functions in your own AWS, Azure or Google account are never touched.

## Change or remove it later

* **Enable again** — **Code → ENABLE**, see [Enable the module](/codemash/cloud/code.md#enable-the-module).
* Disable and enable is also the way back when Cloud shows the enable page after you delete a provider integration — see [Disable or delete an integration](/codemash/cloud/code/integrations/disable.md#result).

```
