# Test an MCP integration

Test an MCP integration — Norbix checks that its secret is stored and can be read.

**Where:** Project → Integrations → MCP → an integration → **Test integration** · `/projects/<project>/ai/mcps/integrations/<integrationId>/edit`

## Before you start

* The integration is saved — see [MCP providers](/codemash/cloud/ai/mcp/providers.md).

The test does **not** connect to the MCP server and does not list its tools. It only checks that Norbix can read the stored secret (the one check is called **secrets**). A wrong **Server URL** or token also passes.

## Steps

1. Open **Project → Integrations**, tab **MCP**, and press the integration, here `Stripe tools`. The badges say **ENABLED** and **NOT TESTED**.

2. Press **Test integration** at the bottom.

## Result

The panel says **Test passed**, with the time of the run and **secrets — Success**; the badge becomes **TESTED**.

## Change or remove it later

* Change the URL or the secret, press **Save** (the secret is asked again on every save), and test again.
* [Disable or delete](/codemash/cloud/ai/mcp/disable.md) the integration.
