# Default MCP integration

MCP integrations have no default — every enabled MCP server is offered to the AI chat.

**Where:** Project → Integrations → MCP → an integration → **Actions** · `/projects/<project>/ai/mcps/integrations/<integrationId>/edit`

MCP integrations have no default, in Cloud or in the SDK, CLI or API: the **Actions** menu has no *Set as default* and the list has no **Default** column. The AI chat of your end users gets the tools of **every enabled** MCP integration of the environment. To keep a server away from the chat, [disable it](/codemash/cloud/ai/mcp/disable.md).

## Before you start

* At least one [MCP integration](/codemash/cloud/ai/mcp.md).

## Steps

1. Open the integration, here `Stripe tools`, and open **Actions**. The menu has **Disable**, **See Stripe documentation**, **See SDK documentation**, **See API documentation** and **Delete** — no *Set as default*.

2. To choose which servers the chat uses, leave the wanted ones enabled and press **Disable** on the others.

## Result

The end-user chat (the Admin Portal chat and the API chat) loads every enabled MCP integration of the project and environment for each question. The Cloud (Hub) chat loads them only when the session asks for MCP tools.

## Change or remove it later

* [Disable or delete](/codemash/cloud/ai/mcp/disable.md) a server; **Enable** brings it back.

## Do it from code

There is no call to set a default. List what the chat will get:
