# Account

Your Norbix account in Cloud — sign in, your profile, team, security, licences, compliance and support.

The **Account** area holds everything that belongs to you and your team, not to one project: your profile, the people who work with you, what each of them may do, licences for your own servers, compliance rules and support cases. You reach it from the menu bar at the top of Cloud and from your avatar menu in the top right.

## Enable the module

There is nothing to switch on: the Account area exists as soon as you sign up. Open `https://cloud.norbix.ai/register`, enter your name, email address and a password, and press **Sign up** — see [Sign up and sign in](/codemash/cloud/account/sign-in.md).

### Current month costs

On the managed service, **Current month costs** lists the metered usage that is billed to your account: one row per managed database cluster, with the monthly total that lands on your next invoice. Until a project uses a managed database the screen says *No metered usage has been recorded for your account yet.* The menu item is hidden on a self-hosted installation, which pays through its licence. ## Your first project

1. [Sign up](/codemash/cloud/account/sign-in.md) — your account and its owner login are created.
2. [Create a project](/codemash/cloud/project/create.md) — the New Project wizard on **Projects**.
3. [Add a team member](/codemash/cloud/account/team.md) — give a colleague access with an account role.
4. [Set your contacts](/codemash/cloud/account/profile.md) — billing, operations and security emails.

## Use it from code

Account screens are served by the Hub. Account calls need a signed-in account (a bearer token); a project API key does not open them. The TypeScript examples on these pages use this client:

The CLI uses the session of `norbix login`.
