# Update Sms Template

Update an SMS template.

The **SMS** channel delivers text messages — templates, campaigns, and provider integrations — for OTPs, alerts, and bulk sends.

This endpoint replaces an SMS template's name, description, type, tags and translations. Send the whole template: `templateName` and `translations` are required, and a translation you leave out is removed.

**Good to know.** A translation is `{ language, content: { body } }` — no subject and no sender, the same as on create; a `subject` sent by an older client is ignored. The request block above may still show `subject` until the Hub spec is uploaded again.
