# Enable Sms

Turn the SMS module on.

The **SMS** channel delivers text messages — templates, campaigns, and provider integrations — for OTPs, alerts, and bulk sends.

This endpoint turns the SMS module on for the project. The first time it is turned on, Norbix also adds the Fake "Test Me" integration, which becomes the default because it is the first one — so sends work at once and nothing real is delivered until you add a provider.

**PUT since 2026-10-05 (was GET).** Turning a module on or off changes state, so it is a `PUT`. A `GET` on this path answers **405 Method Not Allowed** — there is no GET alias. Every Norbix SDK (and the CLI from 1.14.0) already sends `PUT`.
