# Promote Environment

promote Environment.

A **project** is the top-level container for everything in Norbix — environments, modules, and data. These endpoints create and configure projects.

Promotes the environment.

The result lists `IntegrationsToProvision`: managed Atlas Flex integrations that get a new database (`<target env>_<integrationId>`) in the target environment. Secrets are never copied — each environment keeps its own.

Promoting **into PROD** adds a PROD copy of each Flex integration listed there, and only PROD copies count against the plan's Flex limit. At the limit the real run is refused with `CM-ERRORS-DATABASE-026` (trial) or `CM-ERRORS-DATABASE-027` (paid plan) before anything changes. A dry run does not check the limit yet. Promoting into a non-PROD environment is never limited.
